CHOOSE YOUR ACCESS
TRENDBARK Studio provides 12 months of ongoing independent trend research, personally researched and curated by Elisabetta Rizzato, Italian architect, trend strategist and founder of ITALIANBARK® and TRENDBARK.
Combining direct field observation with curatorial direction, it supports professionals working across interiors, colour, materials, products, retail and spatial design.
It helps independent professionals, companies and brands:
make stronger design, colour and material decisions
prepare clearer briefs, presentations and concepts
filter meaningful signals from visual noise
translate Milan and European design signals into locally relevant directions
understand which emerging directions are right for their market, audience and moment
save hours of scattered research through curated, human-led intelligence
Too often, trends are reduced to viral micro-aesthetics, fast visual cycles and short-lived online noise. That version of trends is exhausting, superficial and not very useful for professional design work.
TRENDBARK approaches trends differently. A trend is a direction of change: the visible result of shifting markets, technologies, cultures, behaviours, lifestyles and transformations in the way people want to live, gather, work and inhabit space.
TRENDBARK Studio bridges the gap between these wider shifts, direct field research and practical design decisions. It helps professionals understand not only what is emerging, but what is genuinely worth paying attention to.
Active since 2022, the Studio has continuously evolved around the real needs of design professionals, becoming an ongoing source of independent research, direction and practical support throughout the year.
Professionals use TRENDBARK Studio to:
/Prepare stronger briefs and presentations
Build clearer concepts and support recommendations with structured research and professional reasoning.
/Define colour, material and finish directions
Understand how palettes, surfaces, textures and finishes are evolving, and select the directions most relevant to a project or collection.
/Develop and validate collections
Use emerging signals to inform product development, refine existing ideas and evaluate whether a direction has real relevance beyond short-lived visual hype.
/Read Milan and European design signals
Access filtered and human observations from fairs, exhibitions, retail environments and cultural contexts without relying only on what becomes visible online.
/Understand what is relevant to your market
Translate wider design shifts into directions suited to a specific audience, geography, sector and moment.
/Reduce scattered research time
Work from an ongoing, curated research reference instead of repeatedly searching across fairs, reports, media and social platforms.
The research is delivered throughout the year through curated updates, field observations, strategic sessions and professional guidance, so it can support active projects and decisions as they develop.
There are already too many places to find inspiration. TRENDBARK Studio is something different: a structured research environment where the work has already been done, the fairs attended, the signals filtered and the visual noise removed.
/Understand trend directions with more context
The Studio helps members read trend directions earlier, identify the ones building real momentum and understand which signals are relevant for real design work.
/Make creative choices with more weight
There is a difference between saying “I like this material” and being able to explain why it feels relevant now, where it is heading and how it connects to a broader cultural or market shift. That second conversation is what turns a visual preference into a professional recommendation.
/Get outside the algorithm
Social media has created a global echo chamber where many professionals draw from the same pool of references. TRENDBARK research goes beyond the algorithm, drawing from curated and personal research from fairs, retail environments, exhibitions, field observation and cross-cultural analysis.
/Develop a sharper curatorial eye over time
The longer professionals work with this methodology, the sharper their eye becomes. The Studio is not only access to content. It is a long-term investment in how members see, select, interpret and position their work.
/An established international programme
Active since 2022, TRENDBARK Studio is already used by independent and corporate design professionals across the USA, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, South Africa, India, Thailand, China, the Philippines and Australia.
Its international professional base includes interior designers, architects, independent studios, CMF researchers, creative consultants and corporate design teams. This gives the Studio a broader perspective on how design directions are interpreted and applied across different markets, sectors and cultural contexts.
/An independent, human & field-based
TRENDBARK Studio is built on independent research, direct observation, architectural expertise and applied trend thinking. The research is not generated by an anonymous platform or reduced to aggregated data: it is personally observed, selected and interpreted for professional use.
Individual Access is for independent professional use. Company Access is required when the Studio is used as an internal company resource.
TRENDBARK Studio is led by Elisabetta Rizzato, an Italian interior architect, trend strategist and founder of ITALIANBARK® and TRENDBARK.
Her approach combines architectural thinking, colour and material expertise, direct field observation and more than a decade of observing how design ideas and tastes move across markets and the digital worlds.
/Being there matters The research starts on the ground: inside fairs, showrooms, exhibitions, retail spaces and conversations with brands, before everything is reduced to the same images online. Direct observation is then filtered through years of comparative design research.
/Italy is the starting point, not the limit TRENDBARK is rooted in Italian and European design culture, while reading signals across international retail environments, markets and selected cultural scenes. The aim is to understand how directions change when they move from one context to another.
/Application is the filter Every signal is evaluated through the practical reality of designing, specifying, developing and presenting spaces, products, colours and materials. The purpose is not simply to identify what is new, but to determine what can be useful, relevant and applicable.

“I have followed Elisabetta’s work for almost 10 years. What I have appreciated most is not only the trend forecasting itself, but her way of observing, filtering and translating cultural shifts into something practical and applicable.
Having lived in both Budapest and Copenhagen, and now running Hintsdeco in Greece, I am constantly moving between different aesthetics, markets and consumer behaviours. What TRENDBARK has helped me do is connect these worlds more clearly.
In a world overwhelmed with information and inspiration, the ability to filter trends is incredibly valuable.

"I am a member already quite some time, I appreciate Elisabetta's work very much as it gives me fruitful information about Macro, Color & Style trends. As I visit a lot of fairs & events myself being a freelance designer, it is always very helpful to see if somebody else has a similar impression of what is going on in the interior market. Thanks for your excellent work!"
Anja T. / Textile Designer - Germany
"Joining TRENDBARK has been one of the best decisions I have ever made! When I first enrolled, I was interested in learning about upcoming trends so I could use them as a reference to renovate my home, which I plan to sell in the near future. What I appreciate the most about being part of this program is the private mentorship session offered by Elisabetta. This offering alone is worth the entire cost of the program."
