TRENDBARK ○ STUDIO

The Hub for Forward-Thinking Design Professionals

Trend reports & SEminars. Material Research. Strategic Curation.

Why I CREATED TRENDBARK STUDIO

The word 'trend' often makes professionals roll their eyes, and for good reason. We’ve been conditioned to associate it with viral micro-aesthetics that disappear as fast as they arrive. That version of trends is exhausting, superficial, and irrelevant to serious design work.

At TRENDBARK, we look at trends differently.

To me, a trend is not a fad; it is a direction of change. It is the measurable result of shifting markets, evolving technologies, and deep transformations in how we live. In a world drowning in contradictory data and fast-design noise, the challenge isn't finding inspiration: it’s filtering it.

I created this Studio to be your professional filter. My goal is to help you develop Aesthetic Intelligence: the ability to distinguish between what is merely loud on a screen and what is structurally meaningful for your work.

I designed this space to bridge the gap between global macro-shifts and your next project, by providing the specific combination of filtered insights and strategic reasoning that professional studios need to stay ahead. It’s not about keeping up; it’s about knowing which signals will define the market tomorrow. Originally launched in 2022 as a private membership, I have evolved this space into TRENDBARK Studio: refining our structure to deliver continuous resources and insights in the most agile, high-value format for today's fast-moving design landscape.

Why TRENDBARK STUDIO

There are already too many places to find inspiration. What I built here is something different: a structured research environment where the work has already been done, the fairs attended, the signals filtered, the noise removed. What reaches you is only what actually matters. Here's what that means in practice:

You understand trend directions. The Studio is designed to help you read trend directions earlier, identifying the ones building real momentum before they reach the mainstream, but also to understand the ones that matter in real work.

Your creative choices carry more weight. There's a difference between saying "I like this material" and being able to explain why it's relevant now, where it's heading, and how it connects to a broader cultural shift. That second conversation is what transforms a proposal into a professional recommendation.

You get outside the algorithm. Social media has created a global echo chamber where everyone draws from the same pool of references. My research goes elsewhere, from fairs, retail environments, cross-cultural observation, so the intelligence you receive is genuinely independent.

The research connects to your actual work. This is not abstract forecasting. Every insight is filtered through the practical reality of designing and building physical spaces, and the 1:1 mentoring sessions exist specifically for this reason.

It compounds over time. The longer you work with this methodology, the sharper your eye becomes. The Studio is not just access to content, it's a long-term investment in how you see, select and position your work. By joining, you immediately enter a curated international network of around 60 forward-thinking professionals connecting from the USA, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, South Africa, India, Thailand, China, the Philippines, and Australia, ranging from independent boutique studios to corporate design professionals.

A lean, independent hub. You don’t pay for corporate overhead; you pay exclusively for raw, human-curated design intelligence, field research, and direct architectural expertise. This independent model allows to keep the annual pass accessible for forward-thinking individual professionals and boutique studios, without compromising on elite quality.

The Methodology: Hybrid Intelligence

I trained as an architect. I think in systems, materials, and spatial logic. But I also built ITALIANBARK from scratch in 2013: starting from a blog, growing a global community, learning to read what resonates with design professionals before it becomes mainstream. That digital fluency is not separate from the research. It's part of how I understand where the industry is moving.

That combination, of architectural training and a decade of building and observing a live design community, shapes everything about how I work.

Being there matters. The research starts on the ground, inside the fairs, inside the showrooms, in conversations with brands before anything reaches the press. Not desk research, not aggregated data. Direct observation, filtered through more than a decade of comparative analysis.

Italy is the starting point, not the limit. My work is rooted in one of the world's most important design cultures, but it doesn't stop there. I track signals across Europe, Asia and international retail environments, connecting what's emerging in South Korea with what's shifting in Milan, looking for the patterns that cross borders.

The goal is always application. My focus is practical application. As an architect and trend strategist, I translate aesthetic shifts into actionable directions, for those who need to move from aesthetic inspiration to strategic design intelligence.

Who is TRENDBARK Studio for?

If you work with interiors, materials, color or spatial design, The Studio was built for you.

Designers & Architects You don't need more inspiration. You need a clearer way to make decisions, and the professional language to back them up in front of clients. The Studio gives you both: structured research that grounds your creative choices, and a methodology you can apply directly to your active projects.

Brands & Manufacturers Independent, field-researched intelligence that is more grounded and practically applicable than what traditional forecasting agencies provide. Design brands and manufacturers use The Studio to validate product directions, align collections with the genuine evolution of the market, and give their internal teams a shared strategic reference point.

Please note: The Studio license (€590/year) is strictly a single-seat pass. If you are a manufacturer, design brand, or corporate team requiring multi-seat access, additional trend reports, and a commercial usage license, we invite you to secure our TRENDBARK Brands tier or request a bespoke Atelier consulting program. WHO IS BEHIND TRENDBARK

This program is personally curated by me, Elisabetta Rizzato. I am an architect and trend strategist, though you may have encountered my work over the last decade through ITALIANBARK, the digital publication I founded in 2013 that became an international reference for Italian and global design culture.

In 2022 I created TRENDBARK, a platform for trend intelligence meant to be practical and useful, as well as insightful, created specifically for the interior and design industry. TRENDBARK Studio (formerly the Membership program) is my golden group, completely evolved this year into a streamlined research hub where I share the best insights and what's happening much before everywhere else.

Alongside this, my work also takes shape through workshops, talks, and live sessions, including CASACROMIA, my colour workshop for design professionals, and speaking engagements at international design events.

WHAT TRENDBARK MEMBERS SAY

READ REVIEW

“I have followed Elisabetta’s work for almost 10 years. What I have appreciated most is not only the trend forecasting itself, but her way of observing, filtering and translating cultural shifts into something practical and applicable.

Having lived in both Budapest and Copenhagen, and now running Hintsdeco in Greece, I am constantly moving between different aesthetics, markets and consumer behaviours. What TRENDBARK has helped me do is connect these worlds more clearly.

In a world overwhelmed with information and inspiration, the ability to filter trends is incredibly valuable.

What makes TRENDBARK different is that it never feels like trend consumption. It feels like learning how to observe.”

"Joining TRENDBARK has been one of the best decisions I have ever made! When I first enrolled, I was interested in learning about upcoming trends so I could use them as a reference to renovate my home, which I plan to sell in the near future. What I appreciate the most about being part of this program is the private mentorship session offered by Elisabetta. This offering alone is worth the entire cost of the program."

However, you are in complete control: you can cancel the auto-renewal at any time during your 12-month cycle to prevent future charges. You can do this directly from your user dashboard or by emailing us at lan@italianbark.com.

How Refunds & cancellation work?

You can cancel your subscription at any time to prevent future renewals, either via your dashboard or by emailing us.
